The Graduate

The Graduate was basically about a young boy who had an affair with his dad's business partner's wife. Her name was Mrs. Robinson she was wealthy and didn't really have a lot to offer Benjamin. But he fell in love with someone who had everything and more to offer, and that young lady was the daughter of Mrs. Robinson.
Marriage had a big role in this play; both Mrs. Robinson and Mr. Robinson knew Ben all his life. In Benjamin's eyes they were happily married, had a nice young daughter, and were good friends to the family. That line was crossed when Mrs. Robinson offered Ben to sleep with her. In my opinion marriage to Mrs. Robinson wasn't such a big deal after all, I'm sure she knew was she was getting her self into, and to risk it all for sex isn't worth it in my eyes.
As the viewer of this film Mrs. Robinson wasn't happily married, however she loved her wealth. She had everything she could ever wish for, in my opinion the wealth really got into her head. Let's be serious now if she wasn't as wealthy as she is, do you honestly think she would be looking to have an affair or looking for a better job.
That brings me to adult wisdom; Mr. Robinson doesn't seem to have as much wisdom as he is supposing to. Ben's parents are being unaware of the situation as well, only his mother tried to ask him what he does all the time, in my opinion if his parents would irritating him about what he was doing, and were he was doing it, and why he was doing it. Mrs. Robinson and Benjamin wouldn't be together as much.
As I observed the movie it came to my attention that, Mr. Robinson seems to be wearing the pants in that relationship. This brings me to the point were the film tackled the reversal of sexual roles. Ben seemed like a little girl did what ever Mrs. Robinson told him to do. She told him not to date, see or have anything to do with her daughter. He obeyed for a while,…
